Mark Lake | Principal & Licenced Conveyancer

Mark has been the principal of Balben Property Transfers since 2001. His expert advice and professionalism is the strength of the Balben Team taking pride in ensuring only the best for both his clients and staff. He is proud to have an outstanding team of experienced staff members who strive to provide nothing but excellence, professionalism and understanding. He is always on hand to assist you with queries and advice throughout your Conveyancing process.

 

Bryden Wright | Office Manager/Qualified Conveyancer - License Pending

Our congratulations to Bryden who has just completed two years of study at RMIT to graduate with a Diploma of Financial Services (Conveyancing). Balben Property Transfers are proud of his hard work and dedication in becoming qualified. A part of our team since 2009, Bryden is excited in moving forward to commence his work alongside Mark Lake with the interviewing and advising of clients for all their Conveyancing needs.

 

Ian Olver  |  Conveyancing Consultant

Ian was the founder of Balben Proeprty Transfers first opening the business in 1988.  At this time there were only two other conveyancing businesses alike in Victoria and Balben Property Transfers was the very first conveyancing company in Ballarat.  He is very pleased to have remained on board as a consultant since 2001, and the Balben Team are grateful for his continued loyalty and support.

 

Wendy Johnstone | Conveyancing Administration Officer

Wendy has also been a part of the Balben team since 2009. With 12 years prior experience in finance she has enjoyed expanding her skills and knowledge of Conveyancing. She enjoys welcoming clients and assisting them with the initial stages of their Conveyancing matters. Wendy is an appreciated member of our staff who always has a polite and happy vibe.

 

Sam Brown | Conveyancing Administration Officer

Sam is a dedicated employee with a friendly smile and is also the youngest of our team. Sam takes pride in delivering a high level of customer service to our clients. Joining us in 2011 she has worked with the settlements team for two years, and now looks forward to moving to work alongside Wendy and Bryden, expanding her Conveyancing skills in the initial stages of signing up Contracts and negotiations.

 

Jenny Bastin | Senior Conveyancing Administrator

Jenny is a valued member of our settlements team with a great eye for detail. With 16 years' experience in Conveyancing and having previously worked at a local legal firm, she joined our office in 2006. Her experience leaves her well known in the industry and as our settlements guru she ensures the later stages of Conveyancing files are settled as smoothly as possible.

 

Sia Meek | Senior Conveyancing Administrator

Sia joined the Balben team in 2011 and has 11 years' experience in Conveyancing. Also coming from a local law firm, she was excited to be welcomed by the family owned business. Having worked on the initial stages of Contracts for the last two years, she looks forward to joining Jenny in the settlements team and refreshing her knowledge in this area. She brings great organisational skills essential to meeting the never ending deadlines of Conveyancing.

 

Dianne Olver | Conveyancing Settlements & Lodgings Clerk

Dianne has been with Balben Property Transfers since first opening its doors in 1988. She enjoys getting out of the office into the community and attending all settlements for the exchange of documents and funds. Dianne also attends Melbourne for the lodging and registration of new Titles and other dealings. Diane is a much loved and integral part of the team.

 

Donna Flynn | Accounts Administrator

Donna has managed the accounts department of Balben Property Transfers since 2002. She is our saviour in organising our financials and accounts and enjoys her role working alongside the friendly staff at Balben.

 

Matt Olver  | IT Consultant

As our IT consultant Matt is a crucial member of the Balben Team.  He is a young and vibrant person who brings a wealth of knowledge to the Balben office in the operation and maintenance of our computer network.  He is a champion at rescuing us when in crisis and never fails to get our computers up and running in a flash!  He is definitely an expert in his field and much appreciated by all of us at Balben.  

 

Elliott Wolstenholme | Cleaner & Gardener

We love supporting Elliott with part-time work here at Balbens whilst he studies at university.  With a great eye for detail and artistic flare he ensures our gardens and office are well maintained.
